Yes, you may use laundry sanitizers – but make sure they do not contain biocides. These can damage the fibers of your period underwear and affect skin compatibility. Mild, biocide-free laundry sanitizers are ideal.

This means: it is best to change my•mense period underwear after 8-12 hours and not to use bleach or fabric softener. In addition, period underwear should not be tumble dried, but simply air dried.

Our my•mense period underwear/period swimwear is manufactured in a specialized facility in China. We made this decision very deliberately – after extensive research and careful consideration of ecological and ethical aspects.

A "Made in EU" label is not automatically more sustainable. The high-quality materials we use for our four-layer absorption technology largely come from abroad anyway. Even with production within the EU, these materials would have to be imported, which could cause additional transport routes and CO₂ emissions.

It was important to us to develop period underwear that is affordable for as many people as possible – without compromising on quality, safety, and responsibility. That's why we pay particular attention to ensuring that our products are vegan, biocide-free, and PFAS-free. We rely on high-quality, durable materials and work closely with our partner company, which manufactures according to international standards and ensures fair working conditions.
